Stephen Bordenkircher

Professional Summary

I am the former President of General Recovery and former Vice President of National Accounts with Cantlon Associates, Inc. I am a strategically oriented, results-driven manager. I “touch” every account, making sure we are doing the best job possible. I have a combined total of 37 years of experience in multi-state workers’ compensation, human resources and risk management. I also have significant experience representing self-insured clients and am an expert with Longshore, Jones Act and Federal Black Lung claims. I have represented clients at over 6,000 hearings. I attended Los Angeles City College, The United States Air Force School of Applied Aerospace Science, majoring in Industrial Hazard Control and Fire Protection Engineering. I have a degree in Business Management from the Center for Degree Studies. In addition, I also hold a teaching certificate with the Ohio Department of Education in Emergency Medical Services and a license as an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician. I was a senior member of the West Lafayette Village Council, chairman of the finance and utility committees.

About Me

I live in West Lafayette, Ohio with my wife, Gwen.  We have four adult children who are raising their families and/or pursuing their dreams. When not working I enjoy spending time with my wife and our children and working as mayor of the village of West Lafayette, Ohio. I serve as Grand Knight for the local chapter of the Knights of Columbus. I serve on a local business and community development committee. I am a Vietnam era USAF veteran.
