President’s Lifetime Achievement Award

By December 14, 2016September 4th, 2018

East Coast Risk Management is proud to congratulate our own Frank Castillo, Sr. Safety Consultant, on receiving the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award. Frank was awarded this honor in recognition of his lifelong commitment to volunteer work. This award came shortly after Frank earned his 40-years of service pin from the American Red Cross. As a nationally-credentialed American Red Cross Instructor, he has helped the community at large by teaching CPR, AED, and First Aid. As the Hispanic Spokesperson for his local chapter of the Red Cross, Frank has helped keep Hispanic members of his community informed during natural disasters.

Frank credits his mom for instilling a volunteer spirit in him. “My mother put me into the Red Cross as a Volunteer when I was a junior in high school because she thought I was too self-centered. This recognition is in honor of a woman who knew me so well…and always wanted the best for her two sons. I hope she’s smiling from on-high!”

The Red Cross isn’t the only organization that has benefited from Frank’s skills and open heart. He has also served in the Knights of Columbus and is a member of the local Boy Scout Troop, helping scouts earn Merit Badges such as public speaking, defensive driving, chemistry, oceanography, first aid, emergency preparedness, salesmanship and cooking.  In addition to all that, Frank recently joined other Cuban Americans to create a non-profit (Association of Cuban Americans Marti of NC) to promote Cuban culture and assist recently-arrived Cuban refugees in North Carolina.

Congratulations on a well-earned honor Frank!! Thank you for your service.
