ECRM’s own General Counsel and Director of HR Services, Renee Mielnicki, Esquire, will be presenting at the annual Pittsburgh Human Resources Association (PHRA) conference on October 10th. Renee will address the complex “Bermuda Triangle” of leave laws, where the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) meets the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and workers’ compensation. She will draw on years of HR experience and legal expertise to explain the requirements of these laws and help employers navigate this tricky intersection.
Renee has been a licensed attorney in the state of Pennsylvania for 16 years. After many years of legal work in multiple fields, Renee joined East Coast Risk Management in October 2013 as our General Counsel. Renee also provides expert human resource counseling to a diverse group of management teams in areas such as leaves of absences, wage and hour compliance, Title VII, as well as several other key compliance areas.
