Brian Crebs, CWCA - Safety Consultant

 
Brian serves as a Safety Consultant for East Coast Risk Management’s office located in Orwigsburg, Pennsylvania. A 2000 graduate of the Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) Safety Science program, Brian has continued his education by accumulating an additional 1500+ hours of emergency response training in various disciplines. These credit hours come from various local community colleges and are sponsored by the PA State and National Fire Academies. Brian is certified by the PA Bureau of L & I as an “Accident and Illness Prevention Provider”, is a nationally certified firefighter, hazardous materials technician, rescue technician, and is certified by the PA Department of Health as an emergency medical technician.

Previous to being with ECRM, Brian worked as a safety professional for 8 years at Weis Markets, Inc. Weis is a Pennsylvania based grocery chain employing 24,000 workers at 200+ locations in PA and 6 other states. One of three safety professionals at Weis, Brian directed the safety program for 3 food processing facilities, and participated in various initiatives corporate wide. Additionally, Brian was employed with the Williamsport Regional Airport Authority’s Safety Preparedness Division as a part-time, career firefighter and security officer.

Brian continues to serve his community with the Northumberland Fire Department, having been a Battalion Chief, Deputy Chief, and Chief previously. His career in the emergency response field spans nearly 17 years. Brian also continues to support Boy Scout Troop 342 in Northumberland and enjoys several outdoor activities such as hunting, camping, and hiking.

 Brian has extensive experience in the areas of Hazardous Materials, Emergency Planning & Response, Fire & Property Issues, Industrial Hygiene, Behavioral Safety Initiatives, Accident Investigation, OSHA Compliance program development and Safety Training.

Jon Gerhart - Safety Consultant

 Jon Gerhart is a Safety Consultant for East Coast Risk Management’s office located in Orwigsburg, Pennsylvania. Jon earned B.S. degrees in Occupational Safety and Environmental Health and Industrial Manufacturing Technology from Millersville University (MU) in 2004. Jon currently holds the Graduate Safety Professional (GSP) designation from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals.

Prior to starting with ECRM, Jon worked for three years in the environmental health and safety group at the consulting firm Spotts, Stevens, and McCoy, Inc., Reading, Pa. As an Industrial Health and Safety Specialist, Jon was responsible for developing industrial hygiene sampling plans, field sampling, and final report preparation for clients ranging from heavy steel manufacturing to the pharmaceutical industry. Jon was tasked with developing environmental, safety, and health programs and carrying out the corresponding training for various clients. Mr. Gerhart also performed indoor air quality investigations in schools and commercial buildings in response to reported problems and staff complaints and prepared final written reports with observations, findings, and recommendations. Jon also performed evaluations and provided recommendations for residential/commercial water and/or mold damage.

Currently, with East Coast Risk Management, Jon provides specialized risk management services to a growing client base. Jon has extensive experience in the areas of Industrial Hygiene, OSHA Compliance program development and Training, Respiratory Protection and Fit Testing, Accident Investigation, Machine Guarding, Job Hazard Analysis (JSA), Employee and Supervisor Safety Training and Coaching.
