Prior to starting with ECRM, Gerald worked as an Independent Risk Management Consultant for a number of workers compensation funds. He started in occupational safety as a loss control consultant with Liberty Mutual Insurance Company providing safety and risk management consultation to business and industry in North Carolina. His loss control experience also includes the position of risk management/loss control specialist with the North Carolina League of Municipalities where he provided safety and risk management for 200+ cities and towns. Gerald’s other previous positions include safety coordinator for the City of Durham in Durham, NC; and safety inspector at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC. Gerald’s current responsibilities include servicing the existing client base to reduce accident frequency and severity; assist with OSHA compliance and other value-added risk management services. Gerald is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) by examination. He also serves as a part time instructor for the University of North Carolina Safety and Education Research Center. Gerald has extensive experience in the areas of Accident Investigation, Workers Compensation, Safety & Health Training, Behavior Based Safety, OSHA Compliance, and Safety Program Development.
Chris serves as a Safety Consultant with East Coast Risk Management’s office located in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Chris earned his International Accreditation in Fire Sciences from the Bucks County Community College in Pennsylvania and the Philadelphia Fire College. Chris also attended Wake Technical Community College in North Carolina where he completed his training in Instructional System Design and General Instruction. Chris enjoys the challenge of designing and delivering customized safety training and safety programs. Because of Chris’s wide range of experience, he has developed a knack for targeting hazards, issues of noncompliance and other unsafe conditions that may lead to accidents and serious injuries. |
