Monica serves as Senior Safety Consultant with East Coast
Risk Management’s office located in Altoona, Pennsylvania. Monica earned her
bachelors degree in Safety Sciences from Indiana University of Pennsylvania
(IUP) in 1998 and has gained extensive experience in the occupational safety,
environmental, health and risk management field.
Prior to starting with ECRM, Monica was a member of General Electric’s vast team of EHS professionals, serving as the EHS Specialist in the steam turbine repair division of General Electric I&RS, Pittsburgh, PA. As a specialist, she was responsible for corporate policy implementation, safety and Environmental framework completion and EHS training for the facility as well as the training center which serviced employees globally. She was also involved in various initiatives corporate wide. Monica started in occupational safety as an EHS Director with ACME Machine & Welding, a heavy manufacturing and repair facility, where she was responsible for the creation, implementation and facilitation of the EHS program. Monica has additional experience in the areas of construction (commercial & residential), paving, manufacturing (metals, heavy metals, welding, CNC & manual, fabricating and field service) and human resources.
Monica enjoys the challenge of developing and implementing sound EHS programs in the manufacturing and construction fields, conducting dynamic training sessions for management and employees, and conducting accident investigations as well as audits for OSHA compliance.
